Adorable Farmhouse Nursery | Yellow and Grey
Maple and Moss loved designing this adorable nursery. Why? It was a personal project for owner and designer Lydia Andrews. This was her nursery for her son Oliver. It was a beautiful marriage of modern and vintage design. The inspiration started with the yellow picket fencing found at the flea market. It adds a great pop of color and as wall art, and gives a modern look to vintage pieces.
The crib adds wonderful vintage detail. The crib was handed down through their family and she added bedding that was neutral, but with prints that gives it an updated look. Working with family pieces really adds sentiment to a space.
Beautiful grey walls with white trim makes the room light and bright, and the gorgeous original wood floors adds warm. Lydia added a chevron patterned rug to add to the modern look.
Here are some more tips for getting the look:
-Mixing clean lined furniture
-Pops of color
-Patterns (like in the curtains)
-Vintage found artwork and current prints
-Incorporate vintage toys
